What can you spray on tin signs so the sun will not make them fade over time?

I put a few of those nostalgic tin signs on my two sheds last year. I even sprayed some of that clear spray paint on them so they would not rust. They did not rust but they have faded really bad. Is there anything that helps stop the fading from the sun?

next time look for signs that use paint that doesnt fade.( like auto paint is made not to fade) google outdoor signs and to see what is available. All paint is not equal. There are some clear coats that contain UV blockers. Such as marine varnishes. But they might not work and may yellow.
