Vintage Tin Art

Globe Motive Weird harvest with geography?

I took an old world for a friend who loves the cards in a vintage shop for a Christmas gift. Tin is one of the Ohio Art Company used to (still I'm not sure, but it is they who created Etch-A-Sketch) and when I bought it I did not look very closely at the actual limit of the countries of the lines. When I gave my friend, he really liked, but noted that parts of the world contradict each other. Palestine had become Israel, where the place after the Second World War, but Thailand and Myanmar continue to Siam and Burma, Africa is made up mostly of colonies European (I thought it was settled mainly after the First World War?) and Manchuria was its own country. It's like someone vainly various card games and painted the world to confuse some poor school. Can someone explain this map really weird? data, perhaps, or give a reason that people in the company of Ohio Art is not clearly a good understanding of geography?

I agree with the answer 2. Maps and globes from the mid-1930s among all the way to the 1960s, contained a large amount of information that was outdated or flatly denied. World War II released a number of new territories and African nations separated the plan would be accurate for a few months. Ohio Art is not exactly known for mapping – indeed, their world is a mishmash of the best information that could put together at this time.
